The British Beauty Council is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to solving beauty’s shared challenges. It represents the wider industry by generating conversation with Government.

In order to tackle issues facing the industry today and in the future, the Council collaborates with a diverse network of patrons and affiliates so that every sector within the beauty industry can thrive.

The organisation works to future-proof the industry via policy-driven initiatives encompassing four main pillars: Policy and Influence, Environmental and Social Governance, Growth and Talent.

The British Beauty Council exists to empower and engage all within the British beauty industry to play their part in positive change via collective action.

In 2024, the British Beauty Council commissioned Oxford Economics to refresh its analysis of the economic contribution of the beauty industry and how it has evolved. The report covers 2023 performance and a forecast for 2024.
